a complex business emerges from a simple brand promise

Greenlife Electric launched in 2014 with a generic Squarespace site and a specific mission in mind: Build an electrical contracting brand obsessed with providing extraordinary customer service and affordability. 

Greenlife executed flawlessly, and by 2018 Greenlife needed a website update to reflect their expansion towards commercial projects.

I accepted the challenge and elected to run a very clean, basic WordPress website with a weighted landing page that ranked well, communicated their brand promise, and emphasized their transition to commercial projects.

My research indicated prospects made snap decisions with contractor landing pages, so I front-loaded the landing page with primary pain points to immediately address the initial hesitations consumers felt when seeking electrical contractors.

A clearly visible CTA linked directly to a succinct closing pitch and contact page, and I splashed Greenlife Electric’s five-star rankings across the top of the page. Phone contact information rounded out the bottom of the page including the installation of a permanent “Call Now!” button on the mobile site. 

Conversational sub-heading and body copy expanded on consumer pain points and Greenlife’s competitive advantages, interspersed with frequently updated images of recently completed commercial projects.

Finally, I assembled a clean logo update and a fresh tagline to emphasize the transition to commercial, and I dropped a commercial space in the background of the cleanly organized landing page.

Great web copy should engage a general audience but also facilitate a subtle shift in tone to address prospects individually. It’s a delicate shift with a smart payoff – humans value and respond to one-on-one connections, and establishing these connections originates relationships with your target and nurtures trust.

I created a personalized closing pitch for Greenlife Electric to reinforce their well-earned reputation for service, and to reflect Greenlife’s mission to connect as a team member with their clients to solve their challenges.

Prominent placement near contact information can squash lingering hesitations and positively influence contact decisions.

Google rewards authentic interactions with higher search rankings, so Greenlife Electric and I continue to prioritize same-day, personalized responses to each and every client review and email.

Higher ranking businesses naturally garner more reviews, and more reviews require additional responses, and the snowball effect quickly takes over.
